I've been playing for three days now and haven't really got a main yet.

I do pretty well with Ragna and Noel.
I want to learn Hakumen, Tao and Jin.

I don't play the competitive scene since I mainly played BB for Arcade and Story Modes, so I don't really have a sub. If I were to choose, I'd guess I'd main Noel or Ragna, and sub Taokaka and Rachel.

if you just wanta base stick, get a te for like$99 or less on Amazon/eBay/craigslist. if you want to mod the stick, it would depend on the money you want to spend. Im cheap, so went with hori fight stick 3, modded in some senwa buttons and a new gate. That cost me about $60 total for the stick and new parts. madea custom skin for it. pic related. if youve never used a fight stick before, id just get the fight stick 3 for $30 on amazon and play around with it. by thetime you wear itout/are good enough for a new one, you can just buy the buttons and a new stick/gate from lizardlick and keep the fight stick's case, which is excellent. i dont particularly like hraps myself.

asfor the hori, it's an 8 button, which might not be something you want, but it's useful for other fighters with more buttons later on (bb only uses 4). i like how the anglesof the buttons are on the FS3 when playing blazblue. With type A, you have D on the thumb (bottom left) and then a-b-c across the top. Really comfy comparedto other stick's that have the buttons more set up for Street Fighter-style games with 6+ button configurations.

I'm currently maining Lambda and waiting for the CS console release to pick a secondary. I was going to sub Tsubaki but she just does the same couple combos over and over, shit is mad boring

In CT I subbed Arakune and Rachel (lol S-tier) but CS Rachel is boring and Arakune is annoying to relearn without training mode.

Guilty gear had more then one character I could learn how to play. Crossing my fingers they add somebody that will play like Venom. Blazblue I feel characters are all really different far as playstyle goes (besides Jin/Ragna). I'm hoping in continuum shift one of the new characters I can pick up for a second. Well, I guess people can't handle Nu's fragileness, she takes some practice to get good at if you're playing against a person who knows how to rush.

Anyway, I typically refuse matches against Jins, just because I've actually faced Jins that do nothing but spam the icecar. Seriously, it's pretty annoying to play against someone that just herp-a-derps like everyone else.

It feels very nice though, when you get 'Good game' messages from other people, especially from other Bangs. I feel that the Bang community of CT is very solid, atleast on the PSN.

How about this:

SF fans bitched at the roster size of SF4 arcade, so Capcom shoehorned tons of badly scripted characters into the home releases. Arc made a game with 12 fairly balanced characters and told people if they wanted more they can suck it.

Overall presentation of both games is also a landslide in favor of BB. Only single-player unlocks (in BB) are non-legal "unlimited" characters & gallery/sounds. Capcom crams untested chars & requires them to be unlocked in single player. Single player modes offer more in BB as well - Story & Score Attack run circles around SF's Survival & Build-a-crappy-combo Workshop.

The game system is way in BB's favor. Huge play field & slow, jerky movement lend themselves to turtling in SF4. Not to mention the bullshit "comeback mechanic" involved in the Ultra system. BB offers a multilayer defensive matrix between the Barrier/Burst, Guard Libra, & Rapid Cancel, with Burst & RC having very strategic offensive capabilities as well.

I could go on, but you've already lost...

So I'm still waiting for someone to show me how this game is good even if it's poorly balanced. Waiting~
