back in the states there was an arcade in town

but it only has soul calibur 2 and time crisis

i love time crisis and all, but i've already put a high score on it, and every other machine there is just for tickets

I would, but there is no arcade on this entire island.

    >> Anonymous 04/24/10(Sat)09:00 No.56941XXX
I would be running one if the towns that are close by and have a resonable price for a warehouse and shop rooms are full of kids that do not understand why people would go to an arcade because they all have xbox360s and think that they are 'L33T'.

    Yes, I mad.

I found this place called Games Works or something similar. It was pretty neat inside and took up two stories, had 3 bars, and was very clean and nicely designed.

    Only problem...

...every single fucking game was either racing or a lightgun shooting game. ALL of them. I was like oooooooookay what the fuck can I play something else? They only had 4 fucking machines that had old games and they were Donkey Kong, Pacman, Dig Dug, and Galaga. FUCK! I know arcades are still popular in Japan. What are they playing so much over there? Get some of those games. Wheres fucking Golden Axe and Ninja Turtles?

consoles did pretty much kill the good old arcades though

i'd love to see them make a comeback though, especially considering how fighter games have

but pumping tokens into a machine is a bit archaic, thats the issue

Also on another note I will say this, they did have some billiards games like pool and they had pinball games I never heard of like 24 and Iron Man 2.

But the amount of lightgun and racing games was INSANE. They honestly had 4 count them FOUR of the newest House of the Dead games. The same fucking arcade game they had 4 of them.

Arcades would work if each credit wasn't too damn expensive.

We do it perfectly fine over here in Asia. Maybe slightly differently, such as using a tap card system. Pay money to put credits in the card, tap card on machine to play.

how much would say... a round of a fighter game cost though?

because even then, you're paying for a round, of a game you could probably play on a console at home

Well you know closest thing we have to arcades is a place where they rent a bunch of 360's. Its like 15 pesos per hour or something.
They also have a couple arcade cabinets. Dunno which games. Probably hacked cabinets with like every bloody Neogeo game ever.
But I don't like going out.
