I don't even care about Pokemon but I also have no problem taking an extra quarter of a second to scroll past another thread.

Fragmenting the board is a bad idea. It sets a dangerous precedent. Soon other games that get discussion will be shouted out, demanded they move to their own board. How long until people who don't like Monster Hunter demand a Monster Hunter board? Or people who hate TF2 demand a TF2 board? How long until those who dislike Red Dead push for it to have its own board?

Plus, the more fragmented the board becomes, the less varied the discussion is allowed to be. Imagine a "games you played as a kid" thread -- how many people will flip out when pokemon is mentioned if pokemon has its own board? If, say, MH gets its own board, people would say you can't even mention it even when relevant to general vidya discussion.

Besides, there are fucking dozens of worse things on this board than Pokemon that should be dealt with first. Doubles, "you will never", "you have ten seconds to", all those generic virgin/loser threads, and all that other shit that doesn't belong here at all should go long before we start looking for actual video games to single out.
