    So /v/, I've come with an idea about making a story about FFVIII. Not about being SeeD, not about the main characters, not about alternate endings or alternate stories.

    Instead, I don't really want to explain it, more like an outsider becoming an insider.

    This will not be saved to some fanfic to another site. This will not be fanwankery, if anything, its going to stay away far from the main characters and the main story.

    Those who are fans of FFVIII, I believe, will enjoy it. Hell, if I could find a way, I would bring in others to be involved but I don't know how.

    How does /v/ feel about this? More importantly, how does FFVIIIfags feel about this?

    I'll try to explain the best I can, while keeping it as vague as possible.

    Its a story about a person who just went from playing the game to somehow being part of the game. Every thing is as real as being here. However, he doesn't become some great hero, he doesn't become some great villian. He is merely a person trying to live in the world, and trying to find his way back, or whether or not after his travels, does he want to come back?

    Does he want to come back? Even I don't know, because this will be an evolving story as I post it every weekend. We will be going through various towns, even some that are made up for the story (the world is simply too big to have few towns in it), and I will be as logical and perfect to the game as possible. Being a big fan of it, it shouldn't be a problem for me.

    I have no problem with others following along with thier own stories, but there has to be some consistance.

    Sounds like some basic fanfiction. /v/ doesn't really like fanfictions, I don't either, and I wrote 2 ff8 fanfics when I was 12.

    Basic fanfiction is when you use the same characters in the game for the story. This is anything but basic.
