I have. Rocky's Replay Arcade outside of Orlando, FL has one. Apparently it's in some slight disrepair at the moment.

Actually, Pump It Up is quite popular among the skilled DDR players.

I put my money in DDR. I kind of do it because it somehow amazes people and it helps me control my breathing (I stopped playing for a couple of months and my asthma almost killed me running up a couple of flights).

Though lately I have been pumping quarters into the Street Fighter III 3rd Strike machine. Fuckin' big HDTV (for a game that isn't HD but it helps see a lot of the screen) and Japanese version (though there really isn't a difference as far as I can tell between it and the US).

All the Time Crisis games are awesome, but my favorite is the second one. Before they started mucking around by giving you special weapons whenever you wanted, and the machine gun was a special item they only seemed to give you for taking down trucks.

I got the absolute highest score on the arcade version.

But there was a bug where pulling the trigger during a loading screen kept that position in memory. After I ran out of quarters there was several positions saved in memory from the last fight.

those positions wrote themselves in on the machine when it came to putting in my initials. So the second the 'write your initials in' prompt occurred it already put in the letters 'tdz' and accepted it.

I tried to tell my friends that I got the highest score and showed them it, none of them believed me. ;_;

I'm glad I didn't. Without broken joysticks they're pretty easy to beat with a couple of misses. When I memorized the directions, I'd show off by turning the lightsaber off with the start button and turning it back on right before I had to deflect Fett or Vader's attack.

The machine was the original asteroids before pong but didnt do well because of all the buttons (even though there were still around 4) and people not being used to them. Then pong came out and people adjusted to using nobs and buttons. Asteroids was released and did well since everyone was used to the buttons and they were comfortable with staring at the screen.
