There were cities with voiced NPCs. Did everybody miss that or what? Am i the only person who realizes the superficial use of towns in RPGs? It's an archaic gameplay addition that used to be used for immersion and an upgrade hub, whereas 13 doesn't need generic towns to add that level off immersion and all shopping and upgrading is done seamlessly through the save point, with the addition of some secret stores that can be unlocked which is rather nice.

A.I. Teammates is not exclusive to Persona but I guess it's the only popular JRPG that's used them. XII did in a way but you had active control over them in that you can give them new commands and such on the fly.
