There is a same space on the other side of the Wii holder. They're not SD card holders, they're just holes that enable you to fit your Wii into the holder easily.

Assuming it's a USB hard drive, you just need to get a USB loader
    http://www.usbloader.com/
That's assuming you've already hacked your Wii and whatnot.
Anyways, you can get a solid 100 gig USB hard drive for around 30-40 bucks, so it's not that big of a deal. Plus you can use it for pretty much anything else (work, college, etc.)

So you just download Wii game .iso files, put 'em on the USB hard drive, plug it in and run the USB loader.

    get wii backup manager
use it to format the drive (wbfs, you can try dicking around with fat32 or ntfs but i couldn't get it to work right)
if you're downloading isos, use wii backup manager to add them to the drive
if you've got discs, plug the drive into the wii, use the dumper in your usb loader to add them to the drive

    twilight is pure art
When the dude turns around and tries to talk to you and then the code comes scrolling down your TV
    that made my heart happy
also I like the ps1 swap trick

I soft modded my Wii once.

For some reason I couldn't get the games to work from my External, I tried everything.

Wii bricked, memory gone, Animal Crossing town, eliminated.

More than you'll need, partition that shit.

I have about 70 games on mine and it's about 1/3 full iirc.

So how do I modify my Wii so I can play isos from a regular HDD?
    >> Anonymous 04/05/10(Mon)03:13 No.54764120
    >>54764036

Scratch that, it's about one third of the partition, so even less.

if you've got an older Wii that can get bootmii installed as boot2 it's almost impossible to permanently brick the wii (short of fucking up your boot2)
if you've got a newer Wii install priiloader and you'd have to fuck up the system menu/IOS the sys menu uses to brick it

    /v/ what does partition mean

512GB will probably fit every wii game you'll ever be interested in on it (the ISOs are all 4.7GB or 9.6GB but the actual game channels on the disc can be pretty fucking small in some cases -- a lot of Wii games are < 1GB)

Well I bought my Wii at launch, so it's pretty old.

It's no big deal really, this just gives me another excuse to start again from scratch and get a black Wii this time. Much sexier.
    >> Anonymous 04/05/10(Mon)03:15 No.54764327
Okay, 163 GB gets you 64 games. Unless you want all the shovelware in the world you won't need more than 300GB

If I do this, I'm selling off all of my GC games and the only remaining Wii game I have, which is Brawl. I kept it around because I wasn't about to go and buy dual-layered discs for one game.

Anyway this is great, and it's all thanks to you /v/. You make dreams come true for pirates everywhere.

dude the older wii > the newer wii

black wii's and all of the new new white wiis can't read DVD-R discs at all

Like I said, no big deal. I wasn't planning on pirating much on my Wii anyways. But if you can find a way to fix my old one, it'd save me a bundle.

In case you're wondering, I bricked it by trying to reset the system's version to 3.4 I think.
