I do drink, started at 16. Usually get drunk once a week, plus sometimes a beer/glass of wine with dinner. I don't really play vidya drunk, other than STALKER, but a few times in online games I've gotten ridiculous kill streaks after a few vodkas.

I do also smoke when I've no responsibilities and time on my own. Usually once, maybe twice a week. I try not to play online games high, since I think it does make me slightly worse (especially RTS, since you check less what's happening off screen), but I play single player and retro games stoned. It makes them much more immersive and thought-provoking.

The only game i get better at stoned, is counter strike. Slower, more deliberate reactions tend to help in that game.

once in awhile, my drug dealer childhood friend decided to get me shit faced on my 21st birthday.

Some Alcohol will let me turn off the hard thinking side of the brain, and allow my instincts to take over, making my gaze into the screen a slackjawed mouth breathing. This usually helps my gameplay.

Too much more alcohol involves my body puking imediately to reject the poision, however I'm still good to go for another shot in a few.

However, any game that involves lots of thinking quickly drops me out of the the blur and I have moments of crystal clarity. This feels like a waste of money to me.
