03/30/10(Tue)21:42 No.54275676>>54274856 There are
movies like Saw and Hostel that are nothing but graphic depictions of
people being tortured and mutilated. But nobody cares. There are
games like Call of Duty where the only objective is to kill other
people. But nobody cares. There is real porn out there that
simulates rape and plays up rape fantasies. But nobody cares.
The
only issue here is that eroges like RapeLay combine a touchy subject,
rape, with a new media, games. Do we have movements from peace groups to
ban FPSs? No, because violence is more accepted than sex. Do we have
CNN reports on rape porn? No, because pornographic movies are relatively
old as a media. Feminists, sighting as easy opportunity to rag on
something that is controversial, not well established and FURIN, jumped
on eroges, trying to ban them; that shameless opportunism combined with
frankly embarrassing scapegoating is what sickens me, and why I hate
groups that want to ban eroges. Hell, I don't even play eroges, I just
know that if rape games are made illegal, it will be a domino effect;
censorship is a slippery slope. |
