Before the trolling and
questioning get out of hand, let me explain some things.
1. The
EXP system is NOT like CoD's in the sense that you gain rank or
anything. It can be more appropriately compared to Uncharted 2's money
system. Whereby you can gain "money" in all game modes and spend them on
your character. Only in Halo: Reach, the things you buy are PURELY
AESTHETIC.
2. There are no more number ranks, but the game still
uses an invisible truskill to search in matchmaking like the social
playlists in halo 3. The main difference is the new "Arena" game mode,
which is made up of slayer-only gametypes. Players who play in the Arena
play in different divisions. There are 4 divisions and the better you
play, the better division you will be in. Then, after every month it all
resets and a new season begins. The old stats will go onto your player
card, like the back of a baseball card, if you will. A player's skill
and rank will be based off of a multitude of stats and equations,
primarily consisting of k/d and assists (daily progression). |
