    Jesus christ, you're slow.

    >Steam reigns supreme over digital distribution.

Sure, until it's down. Then all you have left will be the MEMORY of the games, not even a box on the shelf.

    >PC gaming dead

But of course, then would you care to explain WHY the PC graphic cards are one of the fastest developing technologies? PC still has many of the genres consoles will NEVER see: grand strategies, city builders ..

but onlive is live streaming there is very very minimal buffering so the input lag is kept to a minimum

ever seen a real TRUE HD livestream?

    didn't think so.

Also livestream lags like shit, everything you are seeing is 5 seconds or more behind. You do know that right? Try livestreaming and ask the viewers to type something when they hear something you say, it will be at the VERY LEAST 5 seconds behind.

Now, Livestream is only a ONE-WAY interaction. OnLive will be a two-way interaction, your gonna be sending information to the server and recieving their response.

So the server streams a "HD" image to you, you see it in 5 seconds.

Fuck! it's a "HD" image of an alien raping your face, you respond by shooting, 5 seconds later the server recieves your shooting command.

5 seconds AFTER that the server sends it's reply. your bullets start showing on screen.

    5 seconds later your dead.

that's 20 seconds of lag, enjoy it.

Fuck your 'implying', I never implied that onlive will kill steam, I personally onlive is a retarded idea, lag will kill it immediately.

People think TRUE HD means 1920x1080 when in reality it means absofuckinglutely nothing.
You can find 1024x768 plasma displays that are rated at 720p or even 1080p and TRUE HD.

Let's do some math over a 3 year period, pretending this worked.

You buy a PS3 on launch day, and have free PSN, all you paid was $599, with only games added on (physical copies you can keep no less).

OnLive over the same 3 years = $540, plus games, might be cheaper than physical copies)

For a difference of $59, you're getting premium, no input lag, better ping, less bandwidth usage, physical copies of games, no sub, better picture quality, a powerful multimedia system (music/movies - dvd/blu-ray).

The price continues to rise as the the gen rolls on, anyone who thinks OnLive is good is a fucking idiot, also the likelihood of Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft and various PC related companies letting this be a success is laughable.

Sorry if any of my math is wrong, tired
