I had a disturbing dream. I don't know why I had it. I've always written this Balamb Garden thing off. I hated FFVIII. Anyway, my dream:

I'm walking around a vast courtyard. I stop by a vendor for a hot dog. There's a concert going on. Everyone is really young, and I feel absolutely out of place. Before long, I realize just where I am. There's Selphie, her short hair with the curl, her yellow dress. I exclaim, "This is Balamb Garden!" And everyone there looks at me. They nod awkwardly. I eat my hot dog and walk around, taking in the sights. I think nothing of /v/ or that I have to be dead.

But that's not that disturbing. I've played FFVIII before. I'm sure some residual memory of it could combine with /v/'s infatuation. But, here's the thing, tomorrow I turn 25. And I promised myself that if I wasn't done with school by that age that I would kill myself.

Balamb Garden is real, /v/. It's calling to all of us home.
