dudes, it's unrealistic to expect Microsoft to keep their Xbox Live servers running forever, this had to happen some time. yes, it sucks for people who still play original Xbox games over live, but those people are a very underwhelming minority. they are also most likely in tight communities, so they can organize and play over XBConnect or XLink if they really want to.

i don't even own anything from Microsoft, but I feel like I need to defend Microsoft here, this was inevitable and you all know it.
