you're wrong. The Queen/King has the power to make or break a PM,
when a party is elected and its leader has to meet the Queen to be sworn
in, she can refuse and they won't be PM. The Queen has the ability
to create laws, break laws, alter laws. Has the power to influence
all most any member of parliament or business. Has the power to
intervene in any political decision making or basically intervene into
anything decision on behalf of the Country. The only reason the Queen
doesn't get involved with Politics publicly is because it would defeat
the whole purpose of having a Political party leading the Country and it
would also negate the idea of a Democracy; However she does have the
power and could in theory do what ever she likes, though she has sworn
not to get involved with Political decisions, she could. Charles is
massive arsehole and would end up trying to change shit and do the
opposite, he's all for homeopathic medicine and anti war hippy shit and
would be a thorn in the side of any government, The Queen knows this
hence why she is waiting for William to get a bit older.
