gaming is not at a high stage. If Valve is considered "top tier",
something is wrong because there is nothing perticularly great or
special about their games. The last time I checked one of my friends was
complaining about poor performance in TF2 on a PC with a GTX 280. It's
not that the PC itself sucks, it's capable of a lot. It's that
developers now are simply shit. They release poorly optimized games,
often with many less features than the console versions. There's no
split screen on PC, no optimization like there was 10 years ago. The
platform isn't a host to innovation anymore. Innovation is happening on
the consoles, while PCs are busy getting generic shooter / rts / rpg
#4,962. The interfaces and controls suck. If you play any older
game from the 90's on the PC, you will see how much they understood the
word "comfort" when it came to the PC. My last actual purchase
was borderlands, and it reinforced why people resort to pirating so
often. The bloody thing came with a load of glitches and wouldn't even
work online without port forwarding, which isn't possible for a lot of
people, or game ranger. As I said, PC gaming is just not very
good right now compared to consoles. Developers need to get their
act together, advertise their PC titles more and tell Microsoft to go
fuck themselves.
