A boss will for example drop 4 items for each player.

The players then pick up the items , if they decide they do not want them, they can throw them back on the floor at wich point other players can see the drops and they become free for all.

It will function in a way similiar to Diablo 2's Appearance system.

The pool that the generic items appearances will be picked from is much much larger.

By generic items i mean simple white drops like a pair of pants or a sword.

alot of higher quality items will have looks that are Unique to the items themselves.
