HD bullshit is just resolutions. It's hype. Most modern PC games will run under 1920x1080 resolution, if you have set this as the OSs default resolution or if you have set it from the game settings yourself.

Consoles don't have something similar because LOLBETTERGRAPHIX. Yeah, their graphics can only scale downwards or upwards but can't adjust to 1:1 with the monitor's maximum actual resolution, meaning that they have a permanent resolution.
