The Xbox 360 has lost against the PS3. The momentum has shifted, and the PS3 will be king. The PS3 has an amazing lineup in 2010. Right off the bat we have WKC coming to the west, Heavy Rain, God of War 3, etc. The Xbox 360 just can't compete. Developers have realized that the money that Microsoft had payed them to make exclusives just wasn't enough. So now everything is either multiplatform, or exclusive to PS3. What's the reason to even own a 360 anymore? HD-DVD is dead.

If any video game console is a toy for children, it's a Wii. It really even shouldn't be talked about on /v/. I think that any Wii discussion should be saged and told to g2/toy/

PC gaming is dead. You can suck on Valve's cock all you want, but no one wants to hassle with PC gaming. PCs cost way too much unless you're tech savvy, and there way WAY too much room for error. Even the tech savvy people I see play games get errors all the time. I've never had an error on my PS3. I can stick a disc into my console and relax knowing that my game will always play. However, the only thing that will be able to save PC gaming is OnLive or something like it. Being able to play PC games without the worry of upgrading constantly or getting errors will be the only way.

RPGs actually have less value.

You get 40 hours, of which you spend at least 20 mindlessly grinding and fighting low level enemies, and once your finished, the game is pretty much usleless, little replayabilty

FPS gets you an 8-15 hpur campaign, then countless hours of online play which are fun since its about team work (something OP wouldnt know about since hes an little Sony anti-social fanboy faggot)

In MGS2 Raiden chosed his own destiny and freed himself from The Patriots memetic engineering. In MGS4 he returns and shits on what he said in MGS2. I guess you played MGS2, remember the last speech of Snake. In MGS4 Snake says something like "Raiden, five years ago.. That's not what I meant!"

In MGS2 Raiden resembles the player (Just believe me for once), and Snake resembles Hideo Kojima. In MGS4 it's the same, Raiden did not understand Kojima. The fanbase that is full of 12 years olds (I am not offending you) was way too narrow minded and blind to understand the "deeper" aspects of this game. This is why we have Old Snake too, but this is another story.

tl;dr It's ok if you didn't gasp the bigger aspects of MGS (I already accepted this years ago) but don't say I misinterpretate MGS.

I've heard of Stalker, and I've played it. It's okay, I don't hate -every- FPS, just the majority of them and I think it's a stale genre. Stalker and Bioshock are both okay in my book, but they aren't anything great either.

JRPGs are shit. JRPG is the most stale genre in gaming. Your games last for less than ten hours, and companies troll you by having you spend countless hours grinding, doing the same mind-numbingly boring battles. Seriously, a monkey could play a game where you have all the time you need to select an action from a menu. That explains the age of the average JRPG player, since most 12 year olds and man children tend to have the brain capacity of a chimp.

While I didn't personally like Half-Life, I'll agree with that. I mentioned in another post that I thought Bioshock was okay. Half-Life 2 was pretty nice for its time, but the sequel episodes haven't really done anything else. If each episode were about 3x longer then it might be alright.

I enjoyed Left 4 Dead, but it's hardly worth full price. I'll probably buy L4D2 when it's around $20 or less like I did with the first one.

No. The problem with MMOs is the persistent world. You need a world that changes for the game to be good. Take out the massive, make it just like a single player RPG with the same story, but have the party all controlled by different people. That's the future.
