Can someone explain how the combat in XIII works? If the combat was in fact The Shit, the other negative about the game would end up as an excellent way to showcase it. But I've always thought turn-based JRPG combat was inherently pretty shallow, and even if it COULD potentially be extremely awesome, I would not expect Squeenix to be the ones to figure it out.

At this point I'd like to hear exactly what the nuances of this game's combat system are, and how these nuances elevate it above other JRPGs.
