Check out the average server and you'll find that most soldiers are getting reamed because the demos are spamming around corners, and the average soldier is walking into it like a retard (because the average player is retarded)
On some of my more regular soldiers I'd say soldier is winning, but overall I think demo will win.
(I want soldier to win, but I'm losing hope)

Well, basically, the Administrator ordered weps from Saxton hale. Between soldier and demo, whichever is more successful in killing the other kind will get an additional weapon. The friendship between the blu soldier and red demo will dissolve as a result, solving the problem they might have had of discovering the Administrator runs both teams.

It's only implied, but the Announcer apparently offered them both a secret fourth weapon and are making them fight over it. Apparently only one and the other can have the weapon.

If I were to hyperspeculate, the Announcer told one that the other cared more about the weapon than he does about him, thus fueling the one's desire to kill his friend and get said weapon.

Soldier tactic: Spam rockets and hope for a crit.

Demo tactic: Carefully and with good timing detonate stickies when an enemies comes or shoot it in the air and simultaniously blow it up in front of the enemy causing damage...

I think the soldier will win considering that the average player can only accomodate the strategy of soldier..

The scores will be neck and neck and then a Spy will get the last kill.
