If Pokémon were real, governments the world over would seize all legendary unique Pokémon and contain and restrict their use to high level military operations. They would essentially be WMD's. The meat industry would change radically, with Milktank and Tauros replacing beef and milk industries. The energy crisis would be solved by forming large farms of electric type Pokemon and extracting their energy for use in large scale energy reactors. PETA would be protesting cockfights between children and their Pokemon, and laws would be put in place to regulate their usage. Police forces would use Pokemon and Pokeballs to apprehend criminals.

Transportation would be completely revolutionized. People who are driving cars would most likely navigate to flight based methods usign a variety of Pokemon. Those who do not travel with flying, teleporting or swimming Pokemon would use the mass PC digital transport system seen in the Pokecenters to store Pokemon. There would be no god damn bikes, bikes would be useless when people can teleport or fly. What the fuck. Anyway, these are things that would happen if Pokemon appeared in our real world.
