As regards Xenosaga:
Only
attempt if you really enjoy science fiction. The first game is
basically a really long interactive movie with a badass combat system,
where there's combat at all; yes, there's grinding, but the story is
engaging and the characters are interesting.
Episode Two is...well, the worst thing to happen since Disc two of Xenogears. But you can work your way through it.
Honestly,
I'd say you could jump right into Episode Three and not miss anything.
It's one of the best jRPGs on the system, and a great game by its own
merit. The artwork and character style is top-notch, music is
beautiful, and the story is wrapped up rather nicely. Combat system is
the best of all of them.
Stick with Xenosaga for the characters, man, it's really a great fiction. |
