I'd honestly go for release order. You get the information in the way that it's "supposed" to be revealed and you pick up on ALL the many many references to the other games in MGS3.

In fact, I'd almost say release order will cause the least amount of brain strain.

Play the original MGS1.
Then MGS3.
Then Twin Snakes.
Then MGS2.
Then MGS4.

Go in release order.

It makes it so much better. Trust me.

Also, play PO if you want. It isn't important.

Play MGS4, then MGS2, then the original metal gear, then post pictures of your cock, then play MGS3, then one
