They ship thousands of disks daily, and a good portion of them are cracked and snapped upon arriving, particularly around the center ring area. Disks also like to snap when morons don't press down on the button before pulling the disk out.

I worked at fucking gamestop, and while thats nothing to brag about I unpacked so many fucking games and came across quite a few fucked up disks. Sometimes the button shattered and the pieces scratched the shit out of the disk, sometimes they were poorly made and the circle in the middle separated, and other times the disk was just in a few pieces.
"I've never seen it" is a horrible fucking excuse.
