Specifically, a guy was trying to introduce one of his friends to Silent Hill. More precisely, he was going to get his friend to play Silent Hill 2. Within minutes, this friend excuses himself to go to the next room. The sound of clicking and typing ensues, then:

I admit, I have done this, but only for games I cannot play due to lack of the required console, or because I'm too much of a pussy to play Silent Hill myself.

I've played plenty of games for the sake of other people to watch though. In real life, at least.

I have a friend that's like this. He rarely ever plays games with me. He honestly enjoys just sitting there and watching.

He only owns two systems. A Genesis and a N64. I gave him my old Xbox, but he doesn't play it. We still have fun playing co-op Streets of Rage though.

Bad enough when I really like the thing they spoil. If I'm fanatical about a game or movie or book, and they spoil themselves, that enrages me to no end.
