    Hey bros.

I've decided that I was going to start carrying around a backpack full of practical, useful items. I have a few ideas of stuff to keep in it like band aids, screwdrivers, a map of my city, a compass, a tiny bottle of tobasco sauce, things like that.

    You guys got any suggestions?

    Also, gaems.

    Hey OP.

Keep a notepad, and pen in there. That way you can write stuff down.

A disposable camera, in case you need to take a picture of something... I don't know WHAT, but you never know.

Keep a breakable Glowstick in there. If it's late at night, and you're walking down an unlit stretch of road, you want to be visible. Reflective tape on your backback would also be useful, but a glowstick can be used for a lot more too.

That's all I got really for suggestions.

I carried a jacket with me all the time in my backpack and usually an extra shirt cuz I never knew if I was gonna be going home or not. pants you can wear for plenty of days, shirts get smelly after 2.

also a knife, oh and some matches in case someone pocketed my lighter. The backpack also came in handy when playing "hey mister" for booze. Just slip into your bag and walk to your destination, no hassles.

Those were the good old days.

OP you're a dumbfuck when are you going to be walking around the town and need to use a screw driver? Also, unless you live in the fucking woods you won't need a compass to get around nor would you need a map. If you're going somewhere you don't know it's easier to just check on the internet and write down directions before going. If anything you just should just shove a bandaid or two into your wallet because that's the only thing which will come in handy.

    One Life Saver Bottle

It Filters everything out of water so even if you only had dirt puddles puddles around you it wouldn't be a problem. Works for two years if you filter a gallon each day.

BTW: Wont filter out salt so you can't just keep filtering you own piss. Also ocean water won't work since it cannot filter out salt.

One of these, because it looks totally cool when you use it, and you can clip it to your belt/the shoulder strap of your backpack and walk around shining light on things and looking important.

I put a strip of yellow electrical tape around mine between the bottom battery cap and the on/off switch. I don't know why, it just made it looks more "worn." I don't know.

Depends. In my pack, I have a mifi, making me a mobile hotspot. An ipod touch, some batteries, headphones, a pad and paper, my cellphone and a cheap digital camera. Pencils and erasers along with a pad to write and draw with. Painkillers (over the counter) and cold/cough/allergy medicine. Two condoms, tape and tissues (these can be a bandage in a spot).

This stuff is usually pretty light (about 2Lbs total). If I know I'm going to be out a whole day, I'll bring an extra shirt, water and a special K bar.

I carry my stuff around on my belt and tiny crap on my keychain.

Must be a carryover from my Pokemon days (If it wasn't socially unacceptable, I'd probably buy 6 pokemon ball toys and wear them at all times on my belt).

OH SHIT I just realized, I should buy/make a belt that had 6 pokeball pictures on it.

Damn I'd wear that till it broke.

    Anyways pic related.
