So
you live in the glass city too! I went to perth on a one week holiday a
few years back. There was this gigantic bubble made of glass housing
the greatest city you could possibly imagine! Mum, Dad and I stayed in
the second grandest hotel there was, since the first one had been
booked out :(. We ate all sorts of wonderful things while we were
there, and we even went to the zoo aswell. It was a great holiday. But
on the last day, while my parents were packing, I stared outside the
hotel window and through the glass bubble I saw the land of sweeping
plains I heard so much about. I watched as the little perthians workers
came from their sand huts and started working. I said, "Daddy, what are
the little people doing?" to which he replied "Mining, son. Those who
are not fortunate enough to be granted access to the glass city must
toil in the underground mines, providing ores for the glass-city to
sell. But don't worry son." Dad said, "They are a dirty people, less
respected than the aboriginals of NungaNunga. They belong in the mines,
it is more of a home to them than any sand hut could ever be. Now run
along to the car, your mother is waiting." We then drove home, and I
haven't been back to Perth since. All in all, it was a pretty good
holiday. |
