Preordered special edition for a cool $35. Anticipating some good shit.

Also, before people cry "lowered difficulty," Atlus has already stated that the difficulty hasn't been reduced. So, don't fret. I know, I can't wait to get my ass cleaved.

I already pre-ordered my Deluxe Version. I'll just cancel it if I don't feel like getting it, but it sounds pretty awesome. I need some game to hold me until Diablo III, so this sounds like a good choice.

When this comes out I will pretend I bought the US version and say the diffuculty is lowered. None of you will know I am lying unless you bought the 2 versions.

Please don't listen to anyone who says it's difficult. Call of duty 2 on veteran is difficult. This isn't. That being said, I cannot say i've played a more difficult RPG. The game definitely relies more on skill and gear rather then level-up grind. Even at max level (in the 700's), you can die in a few hits with perfect stats. Basically, if you block a lot, you'll have no problem proceeding through the game. I also enjoy the online blood stays that are shown in your singleplayer game, when another human player dies. It makes the game feel alive at all hours. It makes it feel like you're not alone. The story is pretty crappy, but was it great, it the atmosphere. It's very dark, and you'll feel secluded in some areas of the game in the dark dungeons. Although the grind isn't present for level up your character so much, a grind is present for equipment. Personally, I have fun getting the various stones for gear and upgrading everything.

I'd be extremely disappointed if they did give difficulty levels. I'm looking forward to a huge challenge, and people are really building this up to be one of the most difficult games made yet. Like Contra without the Konami Code.

The difficulty is very fair.

Only a couple bosses and minibosses can kill you in a few hits. I don't think anything can kill you in 1 hit with Total Protection on and full HP, unless you neglected the HP stat the entire game.

RRRRAAAAAAGGGEEEE! I found a glitch on the D-Day level, where I could run around under the map and kill the Germans, and I still could never beat it. Fuck that game, on that difficulty. So fucking cheap.

I haven't heard that it was "difficult" exactly. More that it had a huge learning curve and if you didn't master it, you'd die a lot, and all the time. I also heard that it gets easier when you get better at using the weapons.

I've posted on /v/ way too many times about how I got it, I'm surprised that anons haven't called me out.

It's not as hard as people make it out to be. You can get one of the strongest bows in the game in the first few hours of play if you know where it is. That kills most early enemies in 1-2 hits without them even coming close to you.

If you play it safe and aren't retarded you should be fine. Most deaths are from running off cliffs or being careless.

I can't wait to try out those giant, over-the-shoulder-class blades.

No, just bullshit. Devs will never seem to actually give us an actual challenge on higher difficulties & instead just throw the cheapest bullshit in-game, at once. Grenades everywhere, ally AI dumbed down & enemies more agressive to you, even running to you while your buttbuddies ignore that Krautfag.

Playing Ninja Gaiden 2 on Master Ninja right now, shit's fucking retarded. IS ninjas everywhere, along with bosses & archers. Like I said above, this isn't even based on skill anymore (that ended with Mentor), it's just luck that you can avoid getting your ass stuck with 10 IS' in 2 seconds.

If harder difficulties are based on skill & patience, then good. FromSoftware has done the unimaginable. If it's just cheap fucks spamming their worst attacks all at once, every step you go then honestly...
