That
actually works. You see, they're originally presented as evil spirits
without emotions. But later, we get to see that some of them do have
feelings, and do care. It makes the player feel sad for them, and is
much more provoking (emotionally) than if they weren't like that. Axel
himself is a special case, as I believe he is the only Nobody from both
KH2 and Chain of Memories. In COM, we see him betray many people. First
he kills Marluxia to help some other members of the Organization, but
then he betrays them as well. He keeps betraying people, and kidnapping
innocents for an unknown reason. It's later shown that he's doing it to
protect Roxas; first to make sure that he and Sora never meet, and
afterwards to kill Sora and bring Roxas back. He was motivated by his
friendship with Roxas to such a level, that he would do those things.
Now
that I think about it, Axel's motives were really gay. But, it was
presented in a not explicitly gay way. It's nice to see that in a game,
instead of just some stereotypical gay man. |
