I didn't get the whole free ride, but I did play football in highschool and my first two years of college until I got a spiral fracture in my tibia and couldn't play anymore.

Then I got into games. because it's all you can really do between classes when you can't walk much.

Without football to focus on, getting my schoolwork done was a breeze, and since I only needed a loan for the last 2 years of college, I paid it off quickly.
