>>33974864>fuck off fag, blazBlue is a must buy. no reviews necessaryIt's intended to be helpful and giving a good idea of what the game is like. While I agree that the game is great, for some they might need a bit more convincing other than "it's great".
>>33974974Well placed help is always welcome. Some people here have manners you know.(I AM WHO I CHOOSE TO BE)

I'm going to need to buy this game later, since I was unable to pre-order to get the limited edition. Anyways post ending in 7 chooses who I main when I do get it.>>33976589TayGAR
>>33976589That is actually pretty awesome. Well done, anon.
>>33977107do ho holooks like you're maining Tigger.
Some vectors before I hit the sack.
>>33976983The irony of this is that if Capcom can make vague statements of making a Wii version of SFIV (have you seen the fucking system requirements on that game), then they could probably do BlazBlue on it. But it wouldn't be hi-def, so fuck that shit.
>>33976506:O i like. kinda
im having a very difficult time getting into this game.im having problems "keeping up with the action" if you will, and well, randomly winning games is as fun as losing games, it isn't. got tired of getting my ass beat by tager and random 360 throws coming out, then i destroyed some poor bastard with noel, a character in which i know no moves...but spam d....winning whilst not knowing what i am doing isn't fun either.any way around this save for spending several hours per character in training mode? and i refuse to play as jin or ragna.
upload op of game
Just bought this today, luckily snagged the last one on PS3 out of my local best buy. I must say, fucking awesome. I'm still trying to decide on my main. I haven't gotten a chance to play as everyone yet, but so far I like Noel, Litchi, v-13, and Haku-men.
>>33977281practice combos onlineit came with a tutorial DVD use itgo to dustloop for helpCan't get better without practice
>>33977281Not really. While you probably won't need several hours, it will definitely help to learn the ins and outs of a character in training mode. What I do is play Tao a little while in training, than in arcade, and then finally online. By doing so, I was able to get used to doing her back throw, her down+down+c, her distortion where she pounces on people and slashes the shit out of them, and her down+forward+c. I thought I would never master those moves, but I got quite better at doing them with some practice.
>>33977281>any way around this save for spending several hours per character in training mode? Well, spending several hours playing against people works too. It'll actually help more with the "HOLY FUCK WHAT IS HAPPENING" part although it's somewhat more difficult to learn combos (although on the upside you'll probably only develop ones that are actually vaguely practical)
>>33977281>any way around this save for spending several hours per character in training mode? and i refuse to play as jin or ragna.Find someone (or even better, some people) of equal skill and play against eachother. That's how you'll have the most fun. When you face someone of about equal skill, add them to your friends list and try and get them to play with you.Alt. take a look at the wiki to find opponents of equal skill.http://blazbluefightan.wikia.com/wiki/BlazBlue_/v/_Wiki
>>33977179The wii isnt good enough to have fighters.
>>33977281>randomly winning gamesThat perfectly describes me online. I have about 50% wins and I can honestly say I have no idea what I'm doing. I know one combo and just spend the entire match trying to do it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
>>33977321HEY BOOBIE LADY!
>>33977321I don't recall Lichti's boobs being this epic in her sprite or character select portrait.>>33977390Then again, I didn't think Noel was that flat in those either.
guess it doesn't help that out of every character, the only playable character for me is tager.i mean, GENERALLY in the fightan there is more than one appealing character to play. and well id like to play litche...but in terms of playability, NO NO and NO. same applies for everybody else, especially carl, because only demigods and savants can play him.
>>33977499Thats why its getting probably the most awesome fight of this gen, Tatsunoko vs Capcom
>>33977508i mean, if i lose, and i know why i lost, i can have a good time.randomly winning is as fun as flipping a coin where either side comes up doesn't matter.
>>33976723For all the right reasons.
>>33977638I've gotten bored of the game because even when I understand what the opponent is doing, I don't know how to stop it. For example, Noel can spam D. I'll block the first attack and then press an attack. Nope. I'll try blocking two and then attack. Nope. I'll try blocking three and then attack. Nope. I'll wait for her to finish the D spam combo and then attack. Nope.I just don't get it. On street fighter it was a simple formula. You block their combo and then do your own and they have to take it. This game's is different and I have yet to figure out what it is but it most certainly isn't block combo then do your own combo like most fighting games.
>>33977281You say that now but if you ever actually get into BB more (unlikely by the sound of things) You're going to end up maining everybody and just doing Random every match
>>33977718Barrier and instant block, my friend. Mostly barrier. They're specifically meant for turning lockdowns into openings.Basically if you're getting blockstrung by something that seems like it should be vulnerable, try barrier blocking it.
>>33977718>I understand what the opponent is doingThat is the best place for you to be...I mean if you can't figure it out no matter what you do (it seems like you barely tried) then look up vids on youtube. Spammers are the lowest of the low when it comes to fighting game tiers.
>>33977718That's one of many things that makes BB so good.It isn't simply your turn - my turn - your turn - my turn - etc.You can do several things to break up the combo, for example timing your guard right will net you a perfect guard and you leave your opponent open to counter-attack.
>>33977281No shame in using either. I mean, for one, there are only 12 characters in the game, it's not like maining Kyo in KoF98. Plus, Jin is really fun if you play him on a more advanced level than "DERP ICICLE RIDE"
>>33977841I always use my barrier. If I didn't burst, my barrier is usually below half by the end of the match. I don't think I ever block without it. Doesn't barrier just push them away? There's no way I'll be able to time instant blocks online so does this mean I'm screwed?
>>33977137>>33977107wtf!!!!!111!!one
>>33977931>Plus, Jin is really fun if you play him on a more advanced level than "DERP ICICLE RIDE"Fun fact, the ice car should mainly be used to cover ground, since it leaves you VERY open if it's blocked. Yet most people continue to spam it.Well it's not like that's my problem.
>>33977960Well then my next suggestion has to be try blocking it without the barrier in the case the pushback is keeping you out of counter range, making the shorter hitstun irrelevant. You probably need to find a high enough priority counter move to beat their shit or get the fuck (backdash, tech, etc.) out of there on a reset.
>>33977730i payed $60 for this son of a bitch, im going to put forth some effort into learning it.doesn't help that my first fightan that i got "good" at was STHD, a game with simple easy to learn mechanics, but a nice bit of depth underneath that. that and i almost think i would be better at this game having it be my first fightan rather than having the hundreds of street fighter played. kind of have to try and unlearn stuff to play this game. "OK OK, SPD NOW...great im in yet another endless juggle, time to fucking button mash my way out...ok im out...and into another stupid fucking juggle, is this tekken 2d?"
>>33978035It's a good way to end combos too. It should be used sparingly though, and in my case, I only ever use the A variant.
>>33978216Eh, it can be used in the middle of a lot of combos when they get pushed back. Point is that it shouldn't be thrown out naked, of course. It's not a god damn Blanka Ball or Sumo Headbutt, and even those are not good ideas to spam.
Every time you lose, know why you lost, what you did wrong. Learn from your mistakes. When you stop making mistakes, your win ratio will sky-rocket.
>>33977499brawl & capcom vs tasaoiasdyoiasu want a word with you
>>33978533exactlytoo bad its easier said than done
Do not burst early if you're not hakumen or Tager
>>33978819THIS.Everyone burst like 5~10 seconds into a match and it's freaking STUPID PEOPLE.STOP DOING IT.
>>33978153They aren't out of range and I'm using my character's fastest attack. Every time I do it though they get a counter hit on me because they are still doing the combo or starting a new combo. If I can just figure out how to stop this bullshit I think I'll get significantly more wins.
>>33979733If someone's THAT close to you, grab them hardcore.
>>33978819Or nu.
>>33979584But L2 is EX Kick, isn't it!?>>33979733Yeah, whatever you're using isn't high enough priority then. If you have time to throw something out you might have escape options though. Backdash and punish the whiff, that kind of thing, only Hakumen's backdash lacks invincibility frames (Arakune's is invincible for more than half a motherfucking second, although it also takes nearly a god damn second)
I am still debating on getting this. PS3 probably. Hmm. IDN.

I just picked this up today on a whim, which is weird because I don't normally play fightan gaems. Oh well, I just started story mode with Ragna, although I can already tell I'm gonna hate playing as him. He feels too unwieldy to me.
Is there a good PS3 community in here? I just got one, and I don't want to buy a fighting game on the 360.Mostly don't want to play randoms all the damn time.
>>33980680There's a pretty healthy amount of PSN users around here.
>>33980788No tourneyfagging is there? It's the one thing that keeps me away from fighters.OH MY GOD WHY ARE YOU USING SUCH AND SUCH A CHARACTER YOU FAGGOT LALALA.I ussualy just use people on character design.
>>33981101Not really. I mean, you'll run into people like that regardless, but the majority of us aren't like that.
>>33981101You'll hear some people bitching about people playing the same characters online. There's a few that are more newbie friendly, and some that are just currently popular.I expect it'll likely even out eventually.>>33980473>>Oh well, I just started story mode with Ragna, although I can already tell I'm gonna hate playing as him. >>33981101There's a few slights against some characters, but nobody I've been playing with is serious about it. With twelve characters there's no reason to get uppity about easy learning curves.
>>33981101Not that I've seen so far. I just play characters that I find are fun and fit my playstyle.
