PROTIP: Travis is a satire of american gamers. That's why he can kill hordes of goons and still feel bad when his friend dies. That's why he avoids confronting the issue of his parents' murder until it stands between him and rank 1 (and Sylvia's pussy). That's why he breaks the fourth wall, because he wants the player to realize that they only bought (lol) NMH so they could chop people up with a fucking lightsaber, and that's why he continues fighting even though he realizes the UAA is a scam; he's as shortsighted and disinterested with the plot as the player himself.

I do like the game and I'm not saying that the satire interpretation is invalid, but damn I admire Suda for making an unpolished game and being able to write off anything people didn't like as an artistic statement.

It's a game full of artistic this and that, and the story is definately there, but we didn't need a fuckng protip for it, it's the first goddamn thing Travis says when you turn the game on.

Hey guys. What if Bishop isn't dead? Look at the pic, at the end of the page it says that Travis is being tricked by Sylvia again. Note also that he receives a letter saying Bishop is dead -- it makes no mention of Travis actually SEEING him die or seeing his body. It can be assumed Travis just believed it's true (Bishop is nowhere in sight, his shop trashed, the fact they knew he was Travis' friend, etc.).

What if Bishop isn't dead, just kidnapped or something, but Sylvia made up a plan to have Travis believe his bro is dead so he could slice up some people she wants to get rid of?
