/v/ I was in my local game the other day when I overheard the manager giving advice to two guys about why inFamous is so much better than Prototype.

I lol'd so hard at the "Prototype is obviously worse as it's on all the consoles, it's harder to sell."

Why do people choose to work in game shops if they know nothing about games?
    >> Anonymous 06/24/09(Wed)09:50 No.33355724
I think that anyone that acutally really likes to play the vidya DON'T work in vidya game shops.

    Because its a job.

All the people who know about games are busy playing it.

Fags who work at game stores are there because they think theyre cool and trendy. Look at those guys. Nice hair, rather good looking. But only play games casually.

Same - usually when I go into GameStop I wind up having a chat with the employees there. There's three in my town, only shop at two of them depending on which one has what I want. My favorite one to shop at would be what my friends & I call the "Mythical Gamestop" because whenever we were looking for a game, that GS would have it. But none of us knew where it was (we were from out-of-town at the time), so for six months we had to deal with never finding what we wanted. Finally, one day, we found that GameStop, and lo and behold the employees there were even MORE awesome and knowledgeable than the one we normally went to - to the point of discussing The Red Star & Tales of Legendia with us. Same employees, same conversation. Shit was so cash.

The employees try to get you to buy the shitty ones to get them off their shelves, cause no one needs to say a word to the employee to buy a good game that they know is good before buying.

I thought that Prototype was worse because of the shitty graphics and horrible story missions with lack of a good story to drive me to do said missions.

Its unfortunate that i have to do them to get enough ep and to unlock all the powers for just running around the city with your powers is awesome...but god damn the game doesnt let you utilise your powers at all.

Though infamous feels as though effort was put into each storyline mission, and each new power you get actually helps, not to mention you actually wish to do them to find out what happens next. Thats just my opinion though.

Also Infamous is true parkour, not this shallow running up building business.
