What I expected from Prototype was something with a bit more depth man, game was too short, too easy, too few moves, too little to do besides the main story line.

So yes it was shallow and pedantic. Unfortunately, because I was really hoping for a bit more than it provided.

As it stand it's just a "run around and fuck everything up for an hour till you're bored" game when it could have been a really excellent super hero game.

All in all, more collectibles, more moves and about twice as much actual storyline and the game would have risen to the pedestal that all you praise tards who can't stand someone to say one bad thing about the title try to place it on but ultimately fails to achieve.

Eh, I would argue that Prototype in particular came across as incredibly shallow, shallow meaning there just wasn't any meat to the game.

The entire game is basically just running around fucking everythign up, the story is short, there's just nothing to DO in the game hardly.

It's fun to run around for a bit in and destroy shit, okay to beat the game once, but there's just nothing there.

I dont get why you kids dont like Prototype

Its a fun sandbox game. It can be played for hours on end with imagination. Hell, I was playing TLAD today, theres no story, and nothing to do, but I still had fun. I got a 6 star wanted level and Had a huge ass chase throughout the city, my car broke down and I scaled a building, shot down a helicopter and hijacked it. Then I Flew a couple blocks away and began my successful esacpe on foot.

most people do not find just smashing endless amounts of pointless trash units over and over with nothing else to do fun.

As for the "butthurt infamous fans" comment, what reason, exactly do Infamous fans have to be butthurt?

The game is twice is long, with ten times the variety of side missions, more difficult, with a (slightly) better story and just flat out more to do in a larger, better built terrain AND we get to play Prototype too on the rare occasion where all we want to do is run around smashing things to smithereens with zero purpose.

The onyl butthurt I"m seeing is from the Prototype fags who can't even take "shallow and pedantic" as the stupid Family Guy joke reference it is and start screaming "YOU DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT THIS WORD MEANS LALALALALALA WE LOVE OUR GAME ITS THE BEST EVER ANYONE WHO DISAGREES PLAYS NINTENDO LALALALA"

Again, you are intentionally missing the point. Infamous is TWICE AS long twice as difficult, with a better story and flat out MORE DIVERSITY OF MISSION TYPE.

That's what I wanted from BOTH GAMES, instead with Prototype we get Assassin's Creed with FEWER types of side missions to do.

It's very simple. I wanted a game that wasn't DEVOID of anything to do BUT run around killing the same 5 types of creates over and over for ZERO POINT and a story line that takes all of 5 hours to complete.

Stop being willfully ignorant as to the point of the matter, which has been made repeatedly.

Oh and as for replayability, INfamous has this shit beat in that department too, so yeah.

The game isn't even a sandbox game, in all honesty. A sandbox game is like Fallout 3, where you can pursue quests, or just go your own route and roam and survive off supplies you find in the terrain, etc.

I haven't played it to judge, but if it's prototype with the exact same amount of repetitiveness I probably wouldn't like it. And if it had more content, then I very well may enjoy it.

You see, my problem with Prototype is not the mindless killing, it's the absolute lack of anything else to do in the game. It's just a content less game. It's just that simple.

And I bought it, played it, and gave it more than a fair chance, and yes the running around smashing shit is fun, for awhile, but that shit gets old fast without some reasons TO be smashing shit besides "I SMASH STUFF BECAUSE IT DER HURR"

Lets see, SA had gang territory taking, 10 times the world map, 100 times the missions, side missions, collectables, the list is so long I can't even tally all the differences.

SA is closer to Infamous, in infamous you take territory from gangs through side quests, but nowhere, in no way, is Prototype comparable to ANY GTA game, in all honesty. GTA just flat out offers 100 times the content in every offering that Prototype offered.

Have, have you played Infamous? You are into the plot just as fast as Prototype, but there is just flat out more to do within the game, more side quests with lots of diversity between them for instance, a better game world, that's more reactive.
