Shenmue would've been pretty good... if the battle engine wasn't a clunky mess, and the protagonist was actually, you know, interesting. That's something that makes an adventure game FUN. Like Gillian Seed in Snatcher, who is awesome. Ryo is... dense and stupid. But yeah, they should just finish off the story already, 'cause that's what the fans want, and all.

My theory:
Ryo kills Lan Di, but a relative of Lan Di (probably his son) comes and tries to kill Ryo, but they reconcile and end the cycle of revenge.
