4)Join our hamachi server (Dont have hamachi? Think of it as a fake LAN over the internet that allows you to play LAN games with people over the internet.)

KF actually requires a lot of teamwork and coordination, and sometimes luck. There's strategy on downing the patriarch. Position and firepower make a difference, this is what makes kf superior to most games. L4D was just running around shooting anything that moves without keeping any kind of formation. In KF you really get a sense of the guns and what they can and can't do against certain enemies. You don't get that feeling in games anymore.

I haven't bought it yet because Bank of America fucked me in the ass by putting a fucking hold on my paycheck which caused 4 overdrafts.

L4D is casual as fuck. The game never stops holding your hand, you can through your teammates, all you have to do to win is all pile into a corner and blast away, and there are an amazing 5 fucking guns, not counting pistols and grenades.

Killing Floor is the first game I've played in a long time where the game doesn't have a hundred mechanisms in place to *make* players work as a team (ie: endless onscreen/audio prompts, incaps rather than death, ability to see your teammates through walls no matter how far away they are).

It took me straight back to the 90's in terms of the challenge it offered. No gun is useless, the tactical possibilities are endless, and your team's formation is VITAL, unlike in L4D where it's just HURR DURR, PILE INTO A CORNER.

So far I've only beaten the Patriarch on normal once, and it was done via flamethrowers and the double barrelled shotgun, since the flames allow you to see him when he's invisible, and both barrels in the face is good for knocking him down to the ground - just make sure you cat him on corner or somewhere else where you can get up close before he gets you with his chaingun or rocket.

Also in the manor level in the basement there is a corner next to a table and a shelf, you can go in the corner, nothing will hit you, or jump on the shelf but this is a bit harder to do.
