I have a proposal to get America out of the shithole it's in.Every American citizen who receives a bachelors degree from a university (not from a McCollege) receives a 2 person apartment for 20 years if they choose.Any degree no matter what. All apartments will be built by the government. Of different styles depending on the region. Preferably soviet style because those are awesome.Discuss, feel free to modify. Also, people can move to any place in the country if apartments are available.
i want one that looks like the one in op's pic
HOWARD ROARK WILL BLOW UP YOUR SHITTY SOCIALIST APARTMENTS.
good start to instigate a general revolution that will ultimately lead to communism.
wtf is the difference between a 'university' and a McCollege?
AND THE WAVE OF THE UNWASHED MASSES AROSE IN FURIOUS ANGER WITH THE RALLYING CRY OF "FUCK THOSE INTEL... INTALE... TELECKT.... ELITISTS!"
They sure wont be like the project I can tell you that.
I'd say 10 years is better. To get you on your feet right out of college.
>>2976274>Every American citizen who receives a bachelors degree receives a job that pays >$25k.
>>2976274If you people are so smart, why don't you just buy one? Got you there educated fag
AND SUDDENLY EVERYONE'S MAJORING IN ENGLISH 'CAUSE IT IS NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE TO FAIL AND UNIVERSITIES LOVE MAKIN' MONEY
Would my high school still have the 80% drop out rate?
>>2976381even that will push society forward.Less ebonics, more proper english.
>>2976274And this will solve...what problem exactly?You still won't have a job.
>>2976274Perks should be based on demand for degree. So that the most needed skills are definitely filled. If only those skilled positions granted more of... some sort of thing that could be exchanged for goods and/or services.
Where is the funding? Where are you going to build these apartments?
>push society forward.
I do think we would do well to try and change the stigma against non-detached housing.
Where are the jobs comming from for these educated people? Also once a lot of people are levelled out/equalized with education you just have another similar problem.
>>2976416Slavery + mountainsAny open areas.
>>2976274Congratulations!Not only have you homogenized housing, but you've also TERRIBLY fucked everyone that sells apartments that DON'T work for the government. What's next? Giving art/philosophy/english majors jobs that pay 40k for them to do....whatever the fuck they do with those degrees? Some kind of coffee pouring?
well the best part of all this is you'll just end up with drywallers living in their government home but hey it's ok, at least they got that communications degree!
Like getting a college degree is difficult. Achieving a C- average in something like English or psychology is easily within the grasp of most people.
>>2976500They are not for sale or transferable. durp
>>2976530Oh so you missed the point entirely. That's cool. Do me a favor and stop voting.
>>2976500bacherlors of art aren't all "painters"english majors and philosophy majors aren't going to jsut be writing random crap all day.a degree is just a degree.Unless you want to go into a field that requires professional trainer, there is really no correlation between a degreee and your ability.
>>2976469I noticed that when I was on exchange from Sweden. When asked I'd tell people that I live in a suburban flat and they'd give me looks like I said I was from a ghetto.
i'd rather the government would wipe out my loans.i can find a place to sleep now.
This "housing" should be bare-bones.As in a room that is the size of your average caravan master bedroom.Beds that fold up into wall for extra space. (or convert into a sofa)Storage all in one side of the room, outside of a couple portable storage containers that they can do whatever the hell they want to with.Dedicated internet access, shared cable / satellite with access through payment. (depends on who provides it really, sometimes certain groups will allow shared access for a whole building with a lowered apartment fee)Showers should also be in one main location, maybe even bathrooms, for cutting costs. Can't just be giving out luxuries just because they completed a course now, can we?They should still have to work for everything just as much as everyone else. This will prevent (most) people from wasting away and doing nothing with their time.
>>2976584I've got a better idea.Let the NOT government do that.
>>2976584OP here I agree except with the bathroom partThis would provide some incentive to actually move out early, or to opt out of the program.
>>2976584soviet union and china did it, worked out really well.My parents recieved their government housing when they got married, and moved to a bigger one when I was concieved.job = housing security is pretty fundamental in socialism states.
