"Casual"
works well for its primary function: To insult people whom you disagree
with. For any other purpose, it's very much lacking.
Try this:
Whenever you are tempted to use the term "hardcore" or "casual" in
describing a game or a gamer, think for just a moment (PLEASE) and come
up with a term that ACTUALLY HAS A MEANING. You will be more clear,
people will understand you, and threads won't be derailed.
For instance: Don't say: "Halo is casual, Dur" Say: "Halo is derivative." or "Halo has simple gameplay" or, even, what you really mean, "Halo is popular."
/v/ will be a much better place if you follow this guideline. Thank you. |
