Here's my idea for a game, /v/. It's probably not that original, but all my life I've wanted it and no developer has ever made it.

You start the game by creating your character with a detailed character creator. Male, female, short, tall, flat chest, massive breasts (every game should have this feature), dreadlocks, bald, whatever you want. Then you choose where you want to start the game. It could be your house, your office, the airport, anywhere besides stupid places like a desert or rainforest. Then the game begins. Everything's normal, it's all interactive cutscenes from your point of view like the beginning of The Darkness. Then all hell breaks loose.

As you progress through the beginning of the game, you'll hear about a virus outbreak from radios you walk past, TVs in shop windows, etc. And over the first ten minutes of gameplay, everything starts turning to shit, until eventually the zombies come. Now you need to survive. The streets will begin filling with zombies as the NPCs are infected by other zombies, and this is where the whole freeroaming aspect of the game begins. You can choose to get in a car and drive to a different place, or you can get in a building and barricade. But eventually, your character will need food and water, and of course they will need weapons.
