Harden
and other moves that don’t boost by at least two stages is useless due
to the time involved. Any move that isn’t Fire, Water, Ice, Rock,
Dragon, Fighting, or Electric type is useless as those ones pretty much
cover all of the types anyways. So, with 90% of moves gone, your
choices are a lot simpler! And since only certain groups can use
certain moves, you have a choice of roughly 12 moves to choose from for
each Pokémon! Such a wide variety will get you up to the top in no time
at all! And with the four good items out there (Choice Band, Scarf, and
Specs, and Leftovers), you will have no trouble finding the right item
to fit your move set of choice. All 32 competitively viable moves
and the few good items out there may provide you with all you need, but
they are useless without preparation. You need Natures, IV’s, and EV’s,
or else your Pokémon are worthless piles of manure not fit to clean the
tank of a Magikarp. Let me explain why. Natures lower a stat by 10%
while boosting another stat by 10%. There are 25 natures available, 5
of which don’t do anything. Now, this, unfortunately, lowers your
chance of getting a good Pokémon to 4%, but that is ok. After all, 4%
is nothing to a great breeder like you! You can easily breed the right
nature! And perfect IV’s as well, I bet! You see, a Pokémon can have 0
to 31 IV’s in a single stat. There are 6 stats. For every IV in a stat,
that adds one point at level 100. Now, to even stand a remote chance,
you should, ideally, have a Pokémon with 31 IV’s in every stat. |
