So consoles rule PCs for FPS? You wish, fags!
03/24/09(Tue)11:21 No.28982154now, listen to some real -objective- view I've
seen the trailer, 720p on a 3.3GHz dualcore and 8800GTX. The framerate
chugs like rotten rodent through little Joe's throat. Lots of fags said
"Techdemo was run on a PC. Not a console". Holy crap. Impossible. even
my PC can grind Crysis High @ >1280 res. (ok, no AA)
Textures
look washed out. Unimpressive. They compressed the normal maps and
bumps to hell and back. That's Gigabytes of texture data shoved on that
sub-256MB framebuffer memory on consoles.
The only thing that
you will get full-scale is physics. it can be run using CPU at Very
High, no problem. As for the others? Downgraded.. everything. DOF,
range-of-vision, shaders, even resolution (oooh, trying to look cool
displaying Cryengine 3 in 1080p? Dream on. Even 720p would be too laggy
to play)
But there are some real good points from the emerging
of this Crysis-for-console stuff: Fags will be aware and have more
respect for the PC as the superior FPS gaming platform. Even several
KZ2 players confirmed that PS3's highest-rated shooter looks crap
compared to PC Crysis' caliber of graphics and immersiveness.
FPS?
On console? Kay,... eat my fast & accurate headshot earned from a
well-placed Razer Salmosa button click. I bet it's 2000% faster than
your thumb driving the analog stick. |
