I bought FEAR and FEAR 2 yesterday, but my FEAR 1 disc is scratched (used, was loose inside the box, thought I'd take it home and try it anyway) and I got disc unreadable after 15 minutes. I want to play. Can I play a couple hours of FEAR 2 without not knowing wtf is going on, or should I wait until I get a new copy of FEAR tomorrow, and play FEAR 2 after I beat the first one?

    I FEAR I don't have an answer.

See what I did there? I'm so funny.

Head-On was beautiful. Truly, absolutely, totally beautiful.

And the PS2 version, with all the extras and commentaries and constant "THANK YOU FANS FOR BEING FANS" thing? It made me feel loved. And not just the "Thank you for playing" Capcom kind of love. I'm thinking real, honest-to-God love.

Loved by a game developer. What are the odds of that?

Anyone else tend to have a LOT of trouble with Twisted Metal games? Throughout my life, I haven't even been able to beat all of them because a some of them are tough as shit, at least to me.

Head-On is basically Twisted Metal 2 with better graphics running at the smoothest pace ever for a Twisted Metal (Yes, even Black) and just too goddamn fun.
And get the PS2 version. Shitload of extras, and I mean it. Including the original live-action Twisted Metal 1 endings, the cheesiest, most b-movie game endings you will EVER see.

Not to mention a few new characters and stages.

Also, am I the only one who at least was marginally entertained by the concept of TM4? I mean, it was at least a setup for playable Calypso. I did love The Joneses though, they need a Black incarnation if at all possible.

I liked the car creator only for two reasons:
    1) The generic "Your Wish is Granted" FMV, which allowed me to self-insert my wish of boning Twister from TM2.
    2) Creating the Mini from Italian Job and playing as Charlie Croker.

And yes, Nuke Truck Calypso was quite awesome.

that and twisted metal fizzled out.

i wouldn't mind seeing a "new" sequel to either series for the current gen. (i do like twisted metal, but have a preference for vigilante 8)

i did try the xbla demo for vigilante and it didn't seem as fun as i remember it on the ps1.

i think the reason is, the devs decided to make the game specifically for the original fans. and looking back upon the old game, i think that was a little bit of a mistake.

I have the story right here:
    no, wait
    ok
So it's a prequel, where the Twisted Metal tournament is USA-wide (not worldwide yet) and they are blowing shit up. The Vigilantes try to stop it, and are joined by the good guys in the TM roster (Outlaw, Roadkill, etc.). The Coyotes and the bad guys just want to blow shit up.
    Mother of God,the ending sequences...they would be...so...marvelous...
