I just started, but so far it's exactly like Pearl, with the obvious story tweaks and graphical..changes. What's with the darkening of the frames in battles? Makes the health bars harder to see.

How to play Pokemon Platinum:

Open your DS/DS Lite

Get a trigram screwdriver or a screwdriver from a eye glass repair kit and unscrew the triangle shaped security screws. Once the screws are removed lift the back of the case. Inside you should see a orange colored flat piece of a film like substance. Slightly tear each of the pieces of film but do not rip them in half(This is to remove the internal security features). After that you should see a micro SDHC card slot in the Slot 1 device that is soldered to the mainboard. Remove it by yanking at the mainboard forcefully and it should come off easily. Now you should have direct access to the micro SDHC slot. Download the PokePlatinum.exe file and run it on your computer that file and any other files with it onto a micro SD card and put it in the slot. Reattach everything and screw the case back up and you should be fine.
