After
a failed pursuit, you meet up with Chris, Jill, and other BSAA members.
They attempt to shepherd you away with the other civilians, but you
listen in and learn that there was a major bioweapons deal going down
between an unnamed company and the aggressor country, and that somehow
all of the weapons involved in that deal were released in an
uncontrolled manner. You burst in to the tent and tell them about the
Black-Ops. Chris is shocked that Rebecca is involved, and immediately
gets to work on finding her. However, you are still told to leave, and
are escorted out. Not satisfied with leaving it to them, you ditch your
escort and head back into the city, following a BSAA team that was
deployed by Chris. Long story short, you discover that the attack
was the work of Eco-Terrorists who are using bioweapons to further
their goal of a world without human pollution. They're attempting to
genetically alter all of the trees in the rainforest to release the
Progenitor virus, which will kill most of the human population. The
city outbreak was meant as a show of their power and as the canister to
serve their greater threat. The majority of the game takes place in
that city and in the rainforest (the latter will be crawling with
mutated animals and B.O.W.'s, and be more of a free-roam experience),
with later segments in laboratories and finally a giant airship (which
would be used to dispel the virus after you foiled the tree plot). Their
leader is another Wesker child (a women this time), who, like Wesker,
lost her rational thinking once she took her super-shot. You get to
decide at some point whether your character takes his super-shot (in
which case he gets enhanced abilities and can take her on in the finale
bossfights with just his fists) or if he should not use it and instead
use it to poison her in the finale fights (thereby retaining his
humanity). |
