Try looking up Penny Arcade Expo or PAX. Also they do auction of stuff, like drawing a comic strip for the highest bidder for charity.

For all the money those guys get they are really down to earth still, and they donate a lot of it.

I can't think of a single other web comic that has done a fraction as much as Penny Arcade has with charity.

I've got to meet them on two separate occasions in Spokane (mine and their hometown), and they are just fun to sit around and bullshit with.

PA is awesome. The art style is not amazing or anything but it's good enough.

No WALLS OF TEXT, just short and most of the time witty gags.

And PAX looks amazing, I'd love to be able to go one of these days.

Frank is a composite character of two REAL gamestop managers in Spokane, WA.

I worked for one of them even and sold some stuff to Mike and Jarry on more then one occasion. I miss them hanging around and talking, they were cool guys :(

PAX is incredible but it also made them publicly popular. I wish I could just go up to them and talk to them again, but since PAX is such a big thing they pretty much hide in the back so they wont get mobbed.

It is pretty good, but a lot of people feel that $15 for a five hour episode is a bit much. I think it is fine, really, and I enjoy the gameplay/humor. I'd suggest trying out the demo, if you have any interest in it at all.
