I watched the trailer for the sequel the other day and it looks great, I think I might go back and play this.

I got it during last weekend's sale on Steam. I'm really enjoying it too. Has an arcade-y feel to it. The levels are easy, but the bosses are fuck hard.

I still play it today, Colonies edition though.

I LOVE Lost Planet! I like the thought that your life is constantly dropping and you have to find heat to keep it up, so you have to keep moving and killing and searching. Also, one of the few modern games to actually have bosses at the end of it's levels. Seriously, what's happening to boss fights in games today?

This game is great. Awesome weapons, Robot suit things, bad-ass boss battles, Nice difficulty curve too.

A well rounded great game.

The only issues I had were the B button being pick up as well as enter mech. LP2 looks shit hot but I hope they don't abandon competitive online, shit was (and still is) so cash.

Robot suits are awesome. Especially ones with modular weapon systems.

I downloaded Colonies and I'm gonna give the game another shot. It was fun when I played it before but the shittiness of the PC port made me give up on it. I've got a 360 controller now so I figure I might as well.

Then again I've also got a 360 but...meh, I'd rather keep my 20 bucks and the PC version has some DX10 faggotry that the 360 doesn't. I'll make it up to them by buying LP2, it's not like I haven't given Capcom enough of my fucking money lately

This game is the most average piece of shit ever. Boring shit and frustrating. Oh, the aliens are fighting the bad guy pirates? THEY ALL STOP SHOOTING EACH OTHER TO SHOOT YOU.

Not to mention the stuns and knockdowns up the ass. In a mech and get hit, stunned. Prepare to keep getting hit till you need to abandon your mech or the stupid AI forgets what it's supposed to be doing. There was a mission specifically designed around this concept. You had to kill mechs on foot by yourself. All the mechs have weapons with enough strength and delay that they knock you down, and can fire again as soon as you get up. Knock down city. Not fun.
