The game mainly takes place in the upper North, like the ending of Episode 2 set up. The episode begins with Gordon and Alyx flying the helicopter towards the Borealis. The ship is far off in the distance before suddenly a combine gunship appears and shoots you down. Tutorial level starts. I am not going to go in to detail about the entire plot so I will just do certain things
-On the way to the kraken base Alyx and gordon need shelter or they will freeze to death, relation ship between them grows alot after they "share" body heat (no sex, srsly).
-You will kill advisers in this episode, but only with the help of vortigaunts who help mess up their mind powers and have to rely on brute force to kill you(like flying in to you)
-You learn more about G-man, he works for Aliens, I don't want to reveal the rest, let SOMETHING be a surprise.
-The secret technology on the Borealis is a big super portal as well as a full nuclear (or equally destructive) arsenal. Gordon, Alyx, and the rest of the Half Life crew must then make the ultimate choice to use the Borealis to destroy the Combine homeworld.
