01/23/09(Fri)07:46 No.26170877OP continues. The
first half of the game is one big battle starting before the next one
ended, almost. Guerrilla hasn't added any variation to combat designs
or situations. Same foot-soldiers again and again, well-designed but
eventually a tad tedious to fight.
More about patience than
quick thinking, enemies are defensive, does not utilize the environment
beyond holding cover. Weapons are visual and aural powerhouses with
poor accuracy, which enhances the experience.
However, this
immense recoil isn't as much fun if enemies just stay behind cover all
the time, and you want to progress. These design choices might have
been better suited for the first, more down-tempo Killzone, which
pitted a smaller number of soldiers against one another. |
