I was just thinking about this. There are only TWO video game themed shows that still air on G4, and even X Play has now been bogged down by the whole "Spike TV 2" thing they're trying to go with.

The merger was the beggining of the end. They were better when they were both seperate channels.
TechTV was more about gizmos and gadgets, G4 focused more on the vidya side of things.
Both were fucking great.

It was okay. I miss G4 and TechTV, although naturally I focused more on G4.
Cinematech was just me watching games I'll probably never get to play, Judgement Day and X-Play were great, Arena was cool for the MechWarrior games, Anime Unleashed showed Crest of/Banner of the Stars, and I loved them, and the list could go on.

Gamer culture is fucking terrible. At least geek culture had respect for things.

I really love that /v/ gamers are the type of gamers that liked TechTV and despise G4/SpikeTV.

I think it shows that we all have that similar good taste. TechTV was great because the shows on it had great content, and you would also LEARN things, really cool things, while watching. I used to get up every morning before school and watch Call for Help with my dad.
