I hated that lead male character so much... Damn, it was like watching Naruto.......

Aside from that, it's fight system is meh (I liked better Star O III and GRANDIAs), meh story, too short. And that fucking brat.

Decent. Combat system is basic as all shit. But you can basically fight anyone, and get a whole giant team. And the main character is very very retarded, but t makes him strangely cool. It's a weird game. Worth a play, at least.

Pretty good. Decent story, pretty high replay value. No complaints from me. I liked the Medieval thing.

I loved it.
It could have been better, of course, but the unique and cool characters (none of that copy-pasted bull of other RPGS), the simple yet fun battle system, and a choice that actually affects the story made it a winner in my opinion.

It was ok, but it would have really been spectacular if it was multiplayer during battles, or you could at least play as one of the other hundred characters you could have recruited instead of the faggot main character.

A while ago I tried playing Star Ocean 3, but the combination of Sophia's terrible voice and her horrifying face turned me off it almost immediately, I stopped before going into a lot of battles.

I downloaded the undub recently, and even in the original Japanese the voice acting is still horrible and the characters are so damn cheesy.

My question is, does it get better? I'm of course only an hour into the game, have only met two major characters and haven't gone into any official battle yet, but seriously, I want to know if it's worth gritting my way through.

I totally read "bribe" as "rape" and I don't know why.

One of the best main cities in a JRPG, among my favourites.

The game was good, but iseria queen and gabriel celeste were so token black and rediculous looking I nearly fell of my chair from laughing at them.

Listing only the upsides will make any game seem good.

Tons of the characters are unremarkable and forgettable, battle system is extremely basic and the sound effects during battle are very annoying as everyone only has one winning taunt. Pretty short, very easy, diverging storylines only happens late in the game and it's the same final boss with only a kinda different ending cinema.

Was pretty good. Story and characters a bit goofy at times, but still impressive story. Voice acting pretty good, nifty soundtrack, loads of playable characters.

Overall it's pretty awesome. Plus of course all the small references to other squeenix games like Star Ocean III and Valkyrie Profile through music and character appearances.

Trying to make every game DEEP will only lead you to BAWWWWWWWWWWWWW at every new game.

One simply has to enjoy a game for the good things it has, since those good things make up for the bad ones.
Forggetable characters? Fuck them, USE LENNETH.
Basic battle system? And? It's not like we need a hyper-compluicated shit to make the game fun.
The diverging storylines make you play quite a different game story-wise, even if the ending is the same.

Simple games != bad games.
You can play motherfucking bomberman and still have fun without saying "FUCK. LIKE, YOU ONLY BLOW SHIT WITH BOMBS. WHERE'S THE DEEP?"
